Change of temporary code name :
Limacella sp-L-WA02 is the new
name for
Limacella sp-Krstic-20-xi-2010. We have decided to slowly
move to increased use of geographically-based code names...especially when
depositing sequences in GenBank.
Thanks to users who have helped find broken links on the North American Pacific
Coast checklist. It looks like some of them have been there awhile.
We ask for continued help with problems on this site and
are very grateful for corrections.
We are also grateful for corrections of facts and typos on species pages.
RET is prone to some typos, and we're always glad when anyone catches
one.
Every once in awhile someone asks where to find photographers' credits on the
site. Every taxon page has an "images" tab. Credits for all images
appearing on a given taxon page will be found on the "images" tab for that
page. This format has been part of the site's design from the
outset. A new
brief "teaching topic" has been added providing this information on all
taxon pages.

Addition of a genus: We have added the genus
Catatrama to this
site. There are apparently three taxa at present. The type is
C. costaricensis. There is a species from India that we will
call
C. sp-C-Kerala01 for the time being. A third species is
recorded from Australia by DNA deposited in GenBank.
